# Photography

You do not need a five-year plan. You need one honest beginning and enough curiosity to return tomorrow.

## Your photography roadmap

A concrete path from today to three months in. Check off as you go — progress saves on this device.

4 steps

- Mark "Take 36 photos on a 30-min walk" as done

Today Step 1

Take 36 photos on a 30-min walk

One theme: reflections, shadows, or doorways. Keep only the 6 best and write why.

- Mark "Shoot in manual mode for one full session" as done

This week Step 2

Shoot in manual mode for one full session

Watch a 15-min YouTube primer on aperture and shutter speed. Practice on a static subject.

- Mark "Publish a 10-photo mini-series" as done

This month Step 3

Publish a 10-photo mini-series

Pick a theme (your neighborhood, hands at work, golden hour). Post it on Unsplash or Instagram.

- Mark "Print and hang one of your photos" as done

3 months Step 4

Print and hang one of your photos

A real print on a wall changes how you see your own work. Local print shops do 8x10s cheaply.

What are you noticing? What worked, what didn't, what to try next…
