You do not need a five-year plan. You need one honest beginning and enough curiosity to return tomorrow.

## Your rock collecting roadmap

A concrete path from today to three months in. Check off as you go — progress saves on this device.

4 steps

- Mark "Spend 30 minutes outside today" as done

Today Step 1

Spend 30 minutes outside today

Walk the location, observe, take notes. No gear needed yet.

- Mark "Go out 3× this week with intent" as done

This week Step 2

Go out 3× this week with intent

Bring whatever the bare minimum gear is. Same spot is fine — repeat exposure teaches you.

- Mark "Plan a longer trip or session" as done

This month Step 3

Plan a longer trip or session

Half-day or full-day. Use AllTrails / Komoot / local guides to find a good spot.

- Mark "Join a local group or guide" as done

3 months Step 4

Join a local group or guide

Audubon chapter, hiking club, fishing guide. Locals shortcut years of trial and error.

What are you noticing? What worked, what didn't, what to try next…
