1. 🔍 Check whether the promise holds

   “Permission from a landowner, a water supply, and six people who still turn up in November. Plots fill faster than volunteers.” That is the pitch. Spend an hour on first-hand accounts rather than listicles — what it costs, how long it really takes, and what people wish they had known.

2. 🪜 Find the small version first

   There is almost always a one-afternoon version. Do that before committing money or telling anyone.

3. 📌 Put it somewhere you will see it

   An intention you have not written down is a mood. A list you revisit is a decision you keep making.
